Nothing is more annoying than a video that won't start just as you sit down to watch. The good news: almost every MovieBlast problem comes down to a handful of causes. Work through these fixes in order — most people are streaming again by fix number four.
1. Restart The App Properly
Don't just swipe back — close MovieBlast from your recent apps screen, then open it again. This clears temporary glitches and reloads the latest content lists.
2. Check Your Internet Speed
HD streaming needs around 3–5 Mbps, and live sports can need more. Run a quick speed test. If you're on mobile data, try Wi-Fi, or move closer to your router.
3. Lower The Video Quality
If a video keeps pausing to buffer, open the player settings and drop the quality from 1080p to 720p or 480p. The picture is still sharp on a phone screen and playback becomes far smoother.
4. Clear The App Cache
Go to Settings → Apps → MovieBlast → Storage and tap Clear cache. This fixes most black screens, frozen thumbnails and crashing players without deleting your downloads or settings.
5. Update To The Latest Version
Old versions stop working when sources change. Download the newest APK from our download page and install it over your current version — your settings stay intact.
6. Change Your DNS
Some internet providers block streaming servers. Switching to a public DNS often helps: open Settings → Network → Private DNS and enter dns.google or one.one.one.one.
7. Free Up Storage And RAM
Phones with less than 1 GB of free storage or many apps running in the background struggle with video. Close other apps and delete files you don't need.
8. Turn Off Battery Saver
Battery saver modes limit background data and CPU speed, which can freeze playback. Switch it off while watching, or exclude MovieBlast from battery optimisation.
9. Reinstall As A Last Resort
If nothing else works, uninstall MovieBlast, restart your phone and install a fresh copy. This fixes corrupted installs and "App keeps stopping" errors.
