MovieBlast isn't on the Google Play Store, so you install it from an APK file instead. If you've never done that before, don't worry — it takes about two minutes and works on almost every Android phone and tablet. This guide walks you through every screen.
Before You Start
- Android 5.0 or newer (check in Settings → About phone).
- At least 100 MB of free storage.
- A stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
Step 1: Download The APK
Open our MovieBlast download page in Chrome or any browser and tap Download MovieBlast APK. Your browser may show a message like "This type of file can harm your device." That warning appears for every file from outside the Play Store — tap Download anyway.
Step 2: Allow Installs From Your Browser
Android blocks apps from unknown sources by default. The setting depends on your Android version:
- Android 8 and newer: When you open the APK, Android shows "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source." Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then press back.
- Android 7 and older: Go to Settings → Security and turn on Unknown sources.
You only need to do this once for each browser or file manager.
Step 3: Install MovieBlast
Tap the downloaded file in your notification bar (or find it in Files → Downloads) and press Install. If Google Play Protect shows a pop-up saying the app hasn't been scanned, tap More details → Install anyway.
Step 4: Open And Set Up
Tap Open once installation finishes. Choose your preferred language, allow notifications if you want alerts for new episodes and live matches, and you're ready to start watching.
Step 5: Turn The Permission Back Off (Optional)
For extra security, you can go back to Settings → Apps → [your browser] → Install unknown apps and switch it off. MovieBlast keeps working — you'll just need to turn it on again for future updates.
Fixing Common Install Errors
"App not installed"
This usually means an older MovieBlast from a different source is already on your phone, or storage is full. Uninstall the old version, free up space, and install again.
"There was a problem parsing the package"
The download was interrupted or your Android version is too old. Delete the file, download it again on a stable connection, and check you are on Android 5.0 or later.
The Install button is greyed out
Screen-overlay apps (blue-light filters, chat heads, screen recorders) can block the button. Close them and try again.
