It's the question we get asked most. The honest answer: an APK file is only as safe as the place you download it from. Why Android Warns You

7 Checks Before You Install
1. Download from one trusted page
Stick to a single, known source such as our official download page. Avoid links from comment sections, Telegram forwards or pop-up ads.
2. Check the file size
The genuine MovieBlast APK is around 20.4 MB. A file that's only a few hundred KB, or several hundred MB, is not the real app.
3. Make sure it ends in .apk
If your download ends in .exe, .zip or .apk.exe, delete it immediately.
4. Scan it
Upload the file to VirusTotal before installing, or scan it with the security app on your phone. One or two generic "riskware" flags are common for streaming apps; a long list of detections is a red flag.
5. Watch the permissions
A streaming app needs storage and internet access. It has no reason to ask for your SMS messages, contacts, call logs or Accessibility service. If it does, cancel the install.
6. Never "unlock" with surveys or payments
Real downloads start straight away. Pages that ask you to complete surveys, install other apps first or pay for a "premium key" are scams.
7. Keep Play Protect on
Google Play Protect keeps scanning apps after they're installed. Leave it switched on in the Play Store settings for ongoing protection.
